ALYSSA + DAN

Alyssa + Dan’s modern love story began when they both swiped right. However it was a Boston Bruins win that earned Dan his first date with Alyssa. Hale Street Tavern was the location of their first date, just a few minutes drive down the same road as their eventual wedding venue, Misselwood.

 

After 3 years of travel, concerts, sporting events, paw-renting, and surviving a pandemic together, Dan finally asked Alyssa to marry him on August 10th, 2021 in Newburyport.

 

As college friends who never lost touch despite living in different states, having different career paths, a global pandemic, and even running in different social circles for the most part, it was extremely special to me when Alyssa asked if I’d film her wedding. When I heard it was going to be across the street from Endicott College, where we went to school together, at the gorgeous Misselwood venue I was even more excited.

 

It was surreal for me to be back in Beverly, MA at Misselwood, just a stones throw away from where I got my education in filmmaking for a couple who not only knew how special this place was to me, but it was special for them too. It felt as though everything had come full circle and Beverly certainly didn’t disappoint. The weather was beautiful (okay, fine, it was super hot, but we didn’t care) and the waves crashing against the rocks was a stunning backdrop for these two.
